Today is my first day as a trainee at Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB) and I placed by HRD at Procurement Department, located at Sooka Sentral!

Muka xcited (mata ku bengkak~ padan muka tido lambat!).
Masuk keje pukul 9, pkul 8 da terpacak kt depan Sooka. =P
What is 'Procurement Department'? What are the functions of Procurement Department in an organization? Some people said that this department can be considered as purchasing department. However, there are major differences between these two terms of 'purchasing' and 'procurement'.
Purchasing refers to a business or organization attempting for acquiring goods or services to accomplish the goals of the enterprise.
Procurement is the acquisition of goods or services. It is favorable that the goods/services are appropriate and that they are procured at the best possible cost to meet the needs of the purchaser in terms of quality and quantity, time, and location.
Procurement usually involves purchase planning, standards determination, specifications development, supplier research and selection, value analysis, financing, price negotiation, making the purchase, supply contract administration, inventory control and stores, and disposals and other related functions.
Same goes to MRCB, HQ of procurement control general purchases (such as stationeries, equipment, and etc. ) that requested by other departments as well as other branch such as MRCB's branch at Johor. It is crucial for them to conduct research and investigate the products or services before purchasing them to ensure they are getting the best deal in order to ensure the benefits and also keeping up with the competition; trying to spend the least amount of money whilst still buying quality product.
For the first day, kak ema introduced me to all of the staff in our department. such as diana, ifah, hafiz, kak..., kak..., kak..., (oh no! I totally forgot your name >> nenek sudah tua!) Diorang sgt friendly and humble. LIKE..LIKE..LIKE..
Finished read this manual after 2-3 hours.. T__T
Limited desktop, laptop also can~ (install the system into my bff for these 5 months)
Here we go~ go back to your work, people!
